Anyone who sits or stands in front of the computer screen to collect email knows it’s not always fun or interesting.
Our computers, not unlike our old mailboxes, can fill up with unwanted junk, despite ambitious efforts to prevent that from happening.
So it was with great surprise and pleasure that I saw an email roll in from Hodgdon Yachts and Audrey Hodgdon.
I instantly replied to her: “The Audrey Hodgdon?” Her reply confirmed it.
“Yes,” she said. “I've come back to work with the family business.”
Audrey will be helping in the marketing area at the rapidly growing Hodgdon Yachts, and she wanted to use an image of mine in an online article. It was so nice to reconnect. I hadn't seen her since she was in high school.
Audrey graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 2003 and went on to college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, a considerable contrast to life in Maine.
After graduation from college, she worked in Australia and New Zealand in marine-associated businesses, then came back to Maine to live in the Portland area.
Now she's home and I have the email to prove it. Welcome home, A!
